Please help stop the spread… Pollards Hill Residents are being asked to take a COVID test.
All Pollards Hill residents 16 years and over are being asked to get a COVID test because one local resident has contracted a new variant of COVID 19 called the South African variant. This variant is not more dangerous than previous strains but doctors are worried as it’s easier to catch, which is why we are asking everyone in your road to take a test and to isolate if you are positive.
From tomorrow Thursday 4th February, please get your FREE home testing kit from the New Horizon Centre, South Lodge Avenue, CR4 1LT. It will be open 7 days a week between 8.30am and 6pm. You take the kit home with you and return it afterwards. You can also book a FREE test at the COVID testing truck that will be parked in front of the New Horizon Centre by going to www.merton.gov.uk/coronavirus/test/local-testing or calling 0208 274 5332. The truck is open every day 8am to 3pm.
Only leave home for one of these tests if you have no symptoms. If you do have symptoms, for example a high temperature or continuous cough, you must not leave home and risk giving COVID to a neighbour instead call 119 and a test will be delivered to you.
