We invite you to join us to hear about some major developments in the area, and importantly to let us know what issues you think we should be focusing on to ensure South Wimbledon is the best place to live, work and play. As well as your local Councillors Ben and Eleanor, we will be joined by Cabinet Councillors responsible for overseeing these important developments.
The meeting is your opportunity to share with your thoughts and aspirations for the area. We also want to make sure you have the opportunity to hear about the changes to the rubbish and recycling scheme and the planning application submitted for the new secondary school in the ward. We know from the doorstep that these are two issues you are keen to have more information on.
The meeting will open with Changes to the rubbish and recycling scheme. You should have had a leaflet about the changes coming in from 1 October. This will be an opportunity to hear about how the new system will work and what we expect it will achieve, and to ask any questions you may have. Followed by Harris Wimbledon school planning application. The planning application for a permanent site for the new secondary school, which opens temporarily this month in Whatley Avenue has now been submitted.
